Eagle Elementary School Newsletter

October, 2007

                                     Monica Lammers, Principal

Principal’s News
Dear EVES Families,
Welcome to Fall at Eagle Valley Elementary School.  While the weather is still agreeable, you will notice that many of our students are heading outdoors to extend their learning on various field trips.  It is an exciting time of year as students experience learning outside the four walls of the classroom. Please help your child make the appropriate choices of dress, keeping in mind the quick-changing Colorado mountain weather.
Students have also settled into routines within the classrooms and are well into their curricular studies by now.  Assessments are mostly complete and teachers are working hard individualizing instruction for their students.
Enclosed in this newsletter, you will find an explanation of the state’s Annual Yearly Progress requirements related to our CSAP scores.  We met AYP in all areas last year, giving us reason to celebrate excellence at EVES.  Congratulations to the teachers and students!!
Please join us for Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 16th or 18th.  You can make an appointment by calling our school office, 328-6981, between October 2nd and October 9th.  Thank you!

                Respectfully,
                Monica Lammers

Some reminders to make transportation safe for all students!

2.    Students need notes, signed by a parent or guardian and then by the school office, to get off at any stop other than their own.

Please feel free to call 328-1939 anytime you have questions regarding transportation!

PERFECT ATTENDANCE

Students are recognized for perfect attendance at EVES.  Your child qualifies if he/she has had no absences or tardies for any portion of the day.  This includes being checked out and back in during the day.
